Farhan Akhtar Opens Up About Divorce With Adhuna Bhabani; Says It Was Difficult To Tell His Kids About It
Farhan Akhtar has never been very vocal about his separation from Adhuna Bhabani and has also often avoided questions about their divorce.  Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna were once one of the most famous couples of Bollywood, however, they left their fans shocked when they decided to split and filed for divorce in October 2016. They had both handled the situation very maturely and separated on cordial terms and are both happy with their current lives. Farhan Akhtar is now dating Shibani Dandekar and the two have been sharing pictures together on social media too.

Now, in a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Farhan Akhtar has now shared what it was like breaking the news to his kids and how important it was, to be honest with them. He said that it was difficult to tell his kids about the divorce. He also mentioned that anything that has to be told to a child that they don’t want to hear is not going to be easy. However, he also believes that the children are not dumb and understand way more than we give them credit for.

Farhan Akhtar told Pinkvilla, “They have a sense of an energy of how their parents are feeling. As long as you don't lie to them and you feel 'it's okay, I have told them, they can now do whatever', things will come around. Eventually, a child will understand why you have done what you have done. Maybe not at the moment, but you just have to be honest with them and in turn, they will be honest with you."
